This month's feature is a pictorial salute to the wonders of love. I give you:

OH L'AMOUR (or I love you to death)

Life as a mutant is hard. You are an outcast, the object of fear and loathing from a "normal" populace who just doesn't understand. Or perhaps they are jealous? Is it any wonder that these mutants seek the company of their own kind? For safety, companionship, and yes, Love. The Marvel history of mutants is filled with these couples, begining with the king and queen of all mutant relationships, Scott and Jean Summers (Cyclops and Pheonix). Not to be outdone, Scott's little brother Alex has his very own mutant love affair. Polaris. Their relationship is explosive to say the least!

Nothing says I love you like a Plasma Bolt to the back! Havok shoots his beloved from the sky!
The only thing that says I love you more than a Plasma Blast to the back is another one! Alex gets an "A" for effort, but wouldn't roses be easier?
Lorna gets a chance to express her love for Alex in the aftermath of Inferno. Click on the image to see the full pagescan (I love what she does to Colosuss in the next frame)
As if that lousy love note wasn't enough. Plasmagram for Lorna.
"Again? Alex you'll spoil me with all these gratuitous murder attempts!"

I'm sure many of you have noticed I neglected to include the whole episode in Hawaii where Alex was possessed by Malice and tried to kill Lorna, but unlike Alex, I know the meaning of "overkill"
