MUTANT X POLARIS
I had really wanted to
do this figure for a very long time, I just had to wait until I found
the perfect figure for customizing. I loved her costume from
Mutant X and couldn't wait to see how it would turn out. The base
figure is a Princess Daphne figure from Dragon's Lair. I popped her
crown off and gave her a pretty serious hair cut (via exacto knife)
before going to work with epoxy putty. I filled in a few details with
the putty and used the rest to attach a cape from a ToyBiz X-Men movie
Storm figure. I then discovered that primer does not stick to
Princess Daphne's hair or cape which made repainted her a bit of a
pain, but worth the effort in the end, right? The colors (as
always) turned out a little darker in the photo than in real
life. Don't suppose anyone wants to buy me a very nice digital
camera for Christmas? Hmmm?
